OUR BUILDING PROJECT

Restoring Ardwick Barracks. Growing the Church.

Serving the City.

Fabric Church is transforming the historic Grade II listed Ardwick Barracks into a vibrant, accessible church and community hub for Manchester’s expanding city centre.

The Next Phase: Releasing the Drill Hall.

Following the successful completion of initial building works and a major roof replacement, the next priority is the renovation of the historic Drill Hall. This phase is the key to unlock the wider vision, creating a fully accessible, flexible venue that will serve both the church and the local community.

The project will deliver:

  • Step-free access through a lift installation and accessibility improvements

  • A fully accessible, multi-purpose church and community venue with 500 person capacity

  • Increased space for worship, prayer, Kids and Youth ministry, community programmes, events, learning and wellbeing activities

  • Essential building services and infrastructure upgrades

  • Preservation of a historic Manchester landmark for future generations
